Certified Nurse Midwife
Description:
Partners in Women’s Healthcare is a dedicated OB-GYN practice serving Harrisburg and the surrounding communities of South-Central Pennsylvania. Providing women with exceptional care throughout every stage of life. We offer a comprehensive range of services, from routine gynecological exams and family planning to advanced obstetrical care and specialized treatments.
We have a strong Midwifery practice and are looking to expand our current team and further encourage and foster active participation in their ongoing practice. Currently, our midwives maintain a 1:4 coverage rotation while benefitting from 24-hour physician backup in the hospital and friendly, supportive staff in our private office. Our rotations promote a healthy work-life balance, while allowing us to offer a competitive salary.
Our Certified Nurse Midwives are an integral member of our collaborative team, responsible for the day-to-day direct care and follow-up of patients. We take pride in the midwives maintaining continuity of care with an active personal patient following in the office which flows into hospital care.
MIDWIFE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitoring the health of pregnant women and their unborn babies in the office setting as well as patient group setting.
- Counseling patients regarding diets, exercises, and medications suitable for pregnancy.
- Educating patients and their partners on reproductive health, preparation for parenthood, and antenatal care.
- Reviewing pain management options to prepare patients for labor.
- Delivering patients’ babies in the hospital while providing advice, support, and encouragement during labor and post-partum.
- Triaging obstetrical issues in Labor & Delivery.
- Teaching mothers how to feed their newborns and safe newborn care at home.
- Provides post-partum care and support in the office.
- Ensuring the wellbeing of women by providing annual examinations.
- Provide counseling and examination for gynecological health.
- Assist patients with birth control options and counseling.

Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for answering multiple incoming lines in our Central Scheduling Department. Scheduling patient appointments for any of our various locations. Responsible for Check-in/Check-out data entry and verifying patient information. Various miscellaneous clerical duties as assigned. This position also requires travel to our Carlisle office. There is no remote option for this position.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year experience in medical office/health care setting, experience with office equipment and medical terminology. Knowledge of Medent EMR system preferred but willing to train.
REQUIREMENTS: Excellent customer service skills and ability to learn EMR software. Candidate should speak in a kind and courteous manner. Understanding of medical terminology and procedures. Must be dependable and able to multi-task. Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. Must be able to work Monday-Friday.
SKILLS:
- Interpersonal skills necessary in order to deal effectively and courteously with patients and families and co-workers.
- Skill in customer service.
- Following the HIPAA guidelines.
- Typing skills preferred for data entry.
- Skill in using office equipment and handling paperwork adequately.
ABILITIES:
- Ability to communicate clearly in person and on the phone and establish/ maintain cooperative relationships with patients, families, physicians, staff and other visitors .

Medical Assistant
Job Description

You will be responsible for providing clinical support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. Responsibilities include: assisting with exams, phlebotomy, using EMR systems to document and order labs and imaging studies, and assisting with quality assurance in the clinical area. Post high school medical assistant diploma required. Experience in OB/GYN and with Medent EMR system preferred. Salary commensurate with experience.

Triage Nurse
Job Description
This busy, friendly, professional OB/GYN practice has a full-time position available in our Triage Department. We are seeking a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with license to practice professional nursing in the state of Pennsylvania (required). At minimum, one-year OB/GYN experience is preferred but willing to train.
The Triage Nurse is an essential member of the Partners in Women’s Healthcare team. Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills, ability to learn EMR software, must be dependable and have the ability to multitask, have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, who is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and coordinating the care of patients through the Triage process.
Responsibilities include answering phones, making appointments as needed, advising patients of results, explaining procedures, refilling prescriptions, prior authorizations for different testing, as well as, medications.
This is a Monday-Friday position. No evenings or weekends.
